Art & Technology Tohoku Code of Conduct


The goal of Art and Technology Tohoku is to explore the intersection of art and science and contribute to the advancement of art and art science through free and open discussion.
To achieve this, it is necessary to create an environment where each participant can present their work safely and securely while accepting diversity.
Therefore, we expect all participants of Art and Technology Tohoku to adhere to the following policies:

  1. Do not infringe on the life, health, safety, or property of others.
  2. Respect the personality and privacy of others.
  3. Consider cultural diversity in society, treat everyone fairly and with respect, and do not discriminate based on characteristics such as gender, sexual orientation/identity, disability, age, nationality, race, religion/beliefs, etc.
  4. Do not engage in any kind of harassment and work to prevent harassment.
  5. Do not harm others, their property, reputation, or employment through false or malicious behavior, rumors, or other verbal or physical abuse.
  6. Conduct honest and fair discussions from an objective standpoint based on facts and data, and give due credit to others' contributions.
  7. Respect the intellectual property rights and intellectual achievements of others.
  8. Ensure that lectures and other events are conducted in line with their purpose, and do not engage in any acts that would impede progress.
  9. Comply with the law when disseminating information on networks and implement it based on the above 1-8 and the agreement of participants.
  10. If you discover any behavior that violates the above or may endanger the operation of participants or related organizations, please notify the Art and Technology Tohoku Executive Committee.
  11. All participants agree to and support this policy and share an obligation to make an effort to comply with it.
  12. Anyone who intentionally violates the above policy will be comprehensively reviewed by the Art and Technology Tohoku Executive Committee and may lose their participation eligibility for up to four years.

If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior that violates the above policy or has engaged in such behavior in the past, the Art and Technology Tohoku Executive Committee has the right to take appropriate action, including:

These may be applied regardless of whether the violator is a member of the Art Science Society Tohoku Branch or not.
